★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Excellent restaurant and enoteca. The food was of the best quality, as well as the wine. The sommelier provided us with a delicious selection of Sangrantino wines with a very professional advice. To summarize, this restaurant is totally worth the price.

Only reason why I give at 4 and not 5 stars as for Enoteca I'd expect better wine options.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ In my opinion, the best restaurant I have been to in Umbria. I’m judging this not solely on the terrfic food but also based on the given service and pleasant atmosphere. It’s always a pleasure to dine at L’Alchimista.
It’s recommended to make a reservation on the terrace for the best experience.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ate here 10 years ago....it was fantastic & great value for money. 10 years later proportionately more expensive. The steak was fantastic....sadly let down by the very meagre portions of vegetables...we felt they were skinning us for something that cost little.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Our excellent host at Bed & Breakfast Casa Laura highly recommended this place for dinner. My wife and I had just come from Orvieto, where we learned about how they survived attacks by raising (and eating) pigeons in the caves below the city. When my wife saw Pigeon on the menu, she said that we would be eating anything but that.
Well, the sommelier came to our table to help us chose a wine and asked us what we were considering for our meat. He got the story, and then proceeded to gently guide us down the path of ordering the "bird". We were, of course in Montefalco. He paired this with the Montefalco Sagrantino for us.
I must say we both think this is one of the most enjoyable meals we had on the trip. It was a bit adventurous, and clearly romantic, fun, and delicious. Go here and enjoy life.
