Wonderful church The parish priest definitely NOT BANAL but with current and profound food for thought

The church of San Michele is the main place of Catholic worship in the city of Mirano and in my humble opinion also the most beautiful, the outside is simple without any frescoes but as soon as you enter you are amazed by its ornamental frescoes, to name a few illustrious names that have made this sacred place so fascinating: Giambattista Tiepolo, Giuseppe Torretto, Giovanni De Min etc. Definitely a place of worship to visit or even just to go to pray.

Chiesa molto accogliente.
Very welcoming church. I was in this place on the occasion of a first communion, I recommend you visit it. The bell tower adjacent to the structure is currently being restored.

Beautiful church called, perhaps a little emphatically, a cathedral by the people of Mirano. The facade is very sober, it does not have any decorative elements. The interior is much richer, completely frescoed and decorated. Particularly noteworthy is the altarpiece of the first altar on the Epistle side, with an altarpiece by Tiepolo is the ceiling of De Min, dating back to the nineteenth century. The work that stands out most is the sumptuous tabernacle of the main altar, by the Torretto, a monumental work in polychrome marble. Fortunately, in this church it is not possible to attend masses "animated" by guitars

In the center of Mirano is this simply built baroque church on the outside, in fact, no decoration is present on the facade with its triangular tympanum. But its interior is so beautiful. It provides peace, and its grace and attractiveness enriches the soul. The history of the church is interesting. These parish church of Mirano had a conventual origin. In the 15th century it was a priory of the Augustinian Order. In 1477 the priory was incorporated into the convent of the ancient Congregation of San Giorgio in Alga in Venice. In 1668 the properties of the parish were sold by the Republic of Venice to the prior of the Convent of the Lettuce, also in Venice. The cathedral of San Michele Arcangelo ( San Michele Arcangelo ), patron saint of the parish, is the reconstruction that took place in the seventeenth century of a previous Renaissance church, annexed to a convent. The works began on 6 July 1680 and ended with the consecration of the bishop of the Diocese of Treviso, Giovanni Battista Sanudo, on 3 June 1696. Since 1768 it has been managed by the clergy of the Diocese, since 1771 it has been an archpriest church. The interior of the church is beautiful, it exudes good energy. The flat ceiling is majestically frescoed with the Last Judgment, the most significant work of the Belluno painter Giovanni De Min. The other main works are, the statues of the angels and the Archangel Michael are by the sculptor of Asolo Giuseppe Torretto, master of Antonio Canova inserted in the grandiose High Altar, by the same author. An altarpiece "Miracolo di Sant'Antonio" is the work of Giambattista Tiepolo, painted in 1760. The painter was vacationing in the area, in one of his buildings in Zianigo, and amazed by the place he made this beautiful altarpiece. Another important altarpiece from 1583 is that of the painter Paolo Fiammingo for the altar of San Girolamo.
