All this historical heritage is being destroyed by TAP including the Via Francigena to facilitate heavy vehicles in the transport of prefabricated concrete buildings that will be used for the construction of the regasification terminal close to an important archaeological site.

Non mi aspettavo certamente una costruzione imponenente come lo Stonehenge, dal momento che all'epoca in Salento ci saranno state poche decine di unità di persone. Ma, il dolmen è veramente piccolo. Tuttavia, poveraccio, non è questo il suo problema. La costruzione si trova in un uliveto, tra sterpaglie e spazzatura. Probabilmente in estate il posto è un po' più curato ma gli stessi Salentini, e Melendugnesi meriterebbero sempre maggiore rispetto per la propria storia.
