★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A hot afternoon in Piazza Armerina. The town is empty, all the shops are closed. An unexpected fortune. By chance we found gelateria Disiu open. We didn't know their history, but it's worth knowing. Alessio's passion, with the support of his father, led him to realize his dream. Very high level natural products. Not artisanals. Very first of this kind in Sicily. To me chocolate represents the yardstick. Very good. All other flavours are equally good. We will be back, very well Alessio.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I am a huge ice cream fan - and Disiu is now one of my favourite. Excellent pistachio ice cream. Very intense flavour, creamy. Also the other flavours very well balanced, not too sweet. Bravo! Wish I could come here again soon.
