Our guide was very knowledgeable and was able to explain terms and procedures in such a way, that it was very understandable. The wine tasting after the tour was far above our expectations. We had a wonderful time and would recommend this place, and their delicious wine, to everyone. Judy and Bob
T	Thomas Bayne on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wonderful wines, great experience! Amongst all the wonders of Umbria there is one hidden secret and that is a Barbi wine estate of Decugnano! The tour itself was really enjoyable (thanks to Pablo), who is not just very knowledgeable, but also very entertaining with the lovely sense of humour. And the cherry on the cake was the wine tasting at the end of the tour in the old chapel with the amazing view, as if it came from the canvas of the Renaissance artists! Started with Metodo Classico Brut (very pleasant sparkling wine), than followed by Mare Antico Orvieto Classico (crispy mineraly white with the lemony, smoky finish) and Il Rosso (the red with oregano, olive and berry notes and salty finish) and also Tramonto (delicate and fresh rose), all served with the cheese and cold cuts. Would confidently recommend as an experience to cherish and remember!

Clara was a fantastic host. The tour of the winery was informative without being being over the top and snobby. After a nice visit to the wine cellar in the cave constructed by the monk, we had our tasting in a beautiful room with the best view! The wine was excellent! Clara paired it with a variety of meat, cheese and bread. Two of the people in our group were vegetarians and they accommodated this request last minute. The location and property would be a great place to hold an event!
D	Don Cue on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My wife and I led two different tour groups to the winery for tours and cooking classes. I wholeheartedly recommend this experience. Our tour guide Pablo was sincerely charming and informative. Our Chef instructor Iliana was clearly was experienced while being patient and cheerful. Her English skills are limited, but that doesn't impact the course at all, as Pablo is always nearby to translate or relay instructions. In the cooking class you will prepare and eat a lovely selection of local foods, and get the recipes so you can make them at home, too! Be aware that the drive is a little daunting, just follow your instructions or GPS and you'll be at the gate with no problems. I promise that the tour, the view and the wine is totally worth the drive! Date of tour: September 2019

The tour is a must for it provides a deeper insight, the land, the air, the views.... Pablo wealth of knowledge and anecdotal details made the tour so valuable. My wife and I have a greater respect for the level of effort that goes into the creation of a magnificent tasting wines. Touring the caves while hearing the stories how Dom Perignon came upon the creation of bubbly wine only makes it all taste better Great job Decugnano dei Barb!
