E	Emma Burrows on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is a great little cafe / bar in a very scenic square. They offer lovely plates of local meats and cheeses (ask for a plate for one person unless you are hungry), and excellent herring. They also do live music on a regular basis.

He will make you feel like family and you will want to hang out for a long time. I highly recommend this to anyone visiting Barga.
G	Ginevra De Donato on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I’ve been in this restaurant with my mother a few days ago (we’re both Italians but I’ve decided to write in english because I know that this comment will be read mostly by tourists), and despite the meals were pretty good and we spent such a short amount of money, unfortunately I can’t rate the place with 5 stars because we were annoyed by the chef (Giovanni) from the beginning to the end of our lunch. Premising that I’m only 17 and I was accompanied by my mother, Giovanni didn’t spare himself in doing flirty comments, which were very inappropriate for his age (he’s in his 70s). He sat to our table during the whole lunch (from 2pm to 4pm) despite he had NOT been invited and he continued to do appreciations which made me feel very uncomfortable (he asked my age and if I had a boyfriend, and he stared at my body in a creepy way the entire time). Despite he made my mum and I really uncomfortable, we chose not to tell him to stop in order to be kind (but also because we were totally embarrassed).

Prices are more than reasonable and the quality of food was very good. The owner does not speak English, but he was giving his very best to communicate and not shy at allY His service and friendliness was just on point. Don’t miss out on this amazing experience! We will come back for sure! Gracie mille!

L	Lara Pellegrini on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If you find yourself in the beautiful town of Barga, be sure to go to this gem of a Osteria. It's a very traditional little bar/wine shop/place to eat good cheese, cured meats, croutons, soups and whatnot. Often in the evening you can find people of the town gathering there, playing instruments and singing creating a beautiful welcoming atmosphere. Definitely recommended!
