★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Voted the best pecorino cheese in the world and they live up to this award. You should go to the farm on the road between Montepulciano and Pienza. Get a sample basket of cheese wine and bread and go out and sit at one of the picnic tables for and incredible experience of taste, beauty and tranquility.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great shop with house made pecorino of many varieties. The also sell spreads, cured meats, and wines to enjoy with their picnic baskets in their scenic picnic area. Overall, a picnic here is a wonderful experience that is not to be missed!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Omar from Piano B. in Pienza told us that one should visit Cugusi if one wanted to experience the real Pecorino. So it was with his recommendation that we sat in the little Fiat to drive the 15 minutes out to Cugusi. Wow, that recommendation is hereby passed on. It is a unique experience to sit in the garden of Cugusi, who received Italy's most prestigious award in 2019 for their cheeses, and taste one wonderful cheese after another. Thanks for the cheese, and thanks for the recommendation.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Reasonably priced, nice view on the valley and Montepulciano. There are quite a few tables, the area is calm and quiet. There's about 1km unpaved dusty road to get there.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Definitely one of the most special places I've stayed in. Not too fancy, this B&B was just perfect. The rooms are cosy, the breakfast is good and the location and view are breathtaking.
