★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Crottos are special places (or so they should be), very typical from Valetellina and the Como region. Quarino is not the standard "crotto" as to begin with it's not inside a cave as the type of restaurant points out. There is a cellar and cave underneath anyhow and I guess the other crottos share a same arrangement. It's very modern, very "fast food type" for what I was expecting for, we enjoyed the food and drinks but I have been in better more "authentic" places. Still a good pick if in the area!
