A museum of regional importance, with important works, located in a historic building kept in an indecorous way. Pigeon droppings and feathers everywhere. It will certainly not be taken as a postcard of the city.

Friendly staff! Unfortunately, the museum is only open in the morning on some days and with split hours on others. I arrived just before closing, but very kindly and with a lot of understanding the staff allowed us to see the museum. On two floors, purely modern art, many pieces are from a private collection donated by the owner and some pieces of sacred art. The museum can be visited quickly, but it is rich in art. Preserves the first copy of the daughter of Iorio 'di D'Annunzio, donated by the poet to the city. A de Chirico and a Mirò ...

Nice selection of paintings on the floor where the reception desk is. This floor is kind of small yet has wonderful displays of classical and contemporary paintings and some sculptures. The best section is downstairs which was locked but they opened it for me. This area has astonishing works of contemporary art which left me wanting more. Really amazing paintings. Total 10/10 standard. Be sure to see this floor if you visit ??
