★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Scoperto per caso grazie alle indicazioni che si trovano alle Gole di Alcantara.
Sconsigliato salire dalla rampa dietro il cimitero perché il parcheggio è piccolissimo e si rischia di rimanere imbottigliati tipo la domenica.
Mi ha lasciato un po’ di amaro in bocca, pensavo fisse un luogo di pace e spiritualità, ho trovato un mediocre museo di vita contadina. Dopo il pittoresco ma piccolo giardino si entra in questo museo dov’è tutta la preoccupazione è giustificare il biglietto di ingresso con cartelli e articoli. Dopo essere entrati si accede a queste stanze ricche di oggetti (un infinitá ma di scarso interesse) e ambientazioni di monastero con orribili manichini vestiti da frate e nessun tipo di spiegazione. Persino la chiesa era così asciutta e buia da sembrare sconsacrata.
Salva il tutto la molto interessante bottega con prodotti artigianali molto particolari e fatti con erbe del luogo. Tra i negozietti di monastero che ho visto è stato il più interessante e particolare (e ne ho visto tanti).
Il profumo del negozio vale la sosta se si è in zona.
Tuttavia credo che bisogna ripensare il convento come luogo dell’anima, qualche approccio più diretto alla spiritualità francescana e una chiesa più curata farebbero molto bene ai pellegrini in sosta.

It left a bit of a bitter taste in my mouth, I thought a place of peace and spirituality was fixed, I found a mediocre museum of peasant life. After the picturesque but small garden you enter this museum where all the concern is to justify the entrance ticket with signs and articles. After entering, you enter these rooms full of objects (an infinity but of little interest) and monastery settings with horrible mannequins dressed as a monk and no kind of explanation. Even the church was so dry and dark it seemed desecrated.
The very interesting shop with very special handicraft products made with local herbs is saved. Among the little monastery shops I saw it was the most interesting and particular (and I have seen many).
The scent of the shop is worth the stop if you are in the area.
However, I believe that we need to rethink the convent as a place of the soul, some more direct approach to Franciscan spirituality and a more cared for church would do a lot of good to the pilgrims who are parked.

Scoperta interessante , un convento dove si preparano, ancora oggi, saponette detergenti. Con vecchie ricette segrete e con erbe raccolte in loco. È un posto tranquillo e sereno, dove la pace regna sovrana.
Ci ha aperto alla visita del convento un signore molto austero quasi burbero, ma che con l'andare della visita si è dimostrato loquace e molto preparato, sia sulla storia del monastero che nei prodotti officinali artigianali che alla fine della visita vengono venduti per chi li desidera.
È stata una piccola visita, dura circa 1 ora, ma che consiglio a tutti.
