★ ★ ★ ★ ★ la Chiesa della Matrice o di Maria SS. Assunta costruita nel XVI sec. (aperta solo il venerdì mattina). L'interno presenta una sola navata; sull'altare maggiore si ammira il tabernacolo in marmo, opera della scuola del Gagini. Nella cappella destra vi è un Crocifisso di legno brunito e in quella sinistra un quadro ad olio del'600 raffigurante l'Assunzione dellaVergine e la statua di legno di S. Antonio Abate. La principale caratteristica della chiesa è il portale in stile gotico scolpito su pietra arenaria. Il vecchio campanile del'400, demolito per rninaccia di crollo, è stato sostituito da uno nuovo edificato nel 1852 ad opera di Leone di Savoia: la parte basale è lavorata in pietra lavica e la parte centrale presenta i laterali lavorati in pietra bianca martellata.
the Church of the Matrix or of Mary Assumption built in the 16th century (open only on Friday morning). The interior has only one nave; on the main altar we can admire the marble tabernacle, a work of the Gagini school. In the chapel on the right there is a wooden crucifix and burnished in the left an oil painting depicting the '600 dellaVergine Assumption and the wooden statue of St. Anthony. The main feature of the church is the Gothic portal of carved sandstone. The old bell del'400, demolished to rninaccia of collapse, has been replaced by a new one built in 1852 by Leo di Savoia: the basal part is carved in lava stone and the central part has the side finished in hammered white stone.
