La chiesa Custodisce all’interno un trittico ed un polittico Della metà del 1500 del grande artista potentino Antonio stabile! La chiesa si presenta Con due navate, In quella centrale spiccano degli affreschi Che raccontano la vita di San Francesco, rinvenuti dopo un restauro, attribuiti a Giovanni Todisco!
Il polittico maestoso, si trova al di sopra di un coro ligneo di pregevole valore. In cantoria la presenza di un organo a canneDel 1600 perfettamente funzionante e con le canne originali troneggia e da valore a questo splendido gioiello!
Per Quanto riguarda il convento all’interno delle stanze, vi sono degli affreschi stupendi del Todisco Conservati in maniera sublime meta di visite per gli appassionati di arte. Purtroppo i frati celebrano messa solamente la domenica. La presenza francescana nei nostri paesi è stata di fondamentale importanza e speriamo continui ancora per molto tempo
A beautiful place from the late 1400s!
The church has a triptych and a polyptych inside. In the mid 1500s, the great artist from Potenza, Antonio, was established! The church has two naves, in the central one there are some frescoes that tell the life of San Francesco, found after a restoration, attributed to Giovanni Todisco!
The majestic polyptych is located above a wooden choir of valuable value. In the choir the presence of a fully functional 1600 barrel organ with original rods dominates and gives value to this splendid jewel!
Concerning the convent inside the rooms, there are some wonderful frescoes by Todisco. They are kept in a sublime way, destination of visits for art lovers. Unfortunately the friars celebrate Mass only on Sundays. The Franciscan presence in our countries has been of fundamental importance and we hope it will continue for a long time to come
