E’ ad una sola navata rispettoso del modulo francescano. Nel 1630 la chiesa viene ampliata con la costruzione di una navata laterale sul lato destro e l’erezione di nuovi altari. A metà degli anni ’60 fu intrapreso dalla Sovraintendenza il recupero del bene attraverso lavori di consolidamento e restauro.
