Ancor oggi la vita della cittadina ruota tutta attorno all’eclettica figura rinascimentale e lo stesso paese è diventato una sorta di museo diffuso dedicato al genio.
Vinci è il luogo ideale per degustare i piatti della cucina tradizionale toscana come la pappa col pomodoro, la minestra di farro e la farinata di cavolo nero. Nelle colline di Vinci si produce l’olio extra vergine d’oliva toscano IGP, ed a parer mio, la porchetta migliore che abbia mai assaggiato la fanno qua.
Located on the slopes of Montalbano, Vinci is a well-preserved medieval center known internationally for being the birthplace of the great genius of the Italian Renaissance: Leonardo da Vinci. Even today, the life of the town revolves all around the eclectic Renaissance figure and the town itself has become a sort of widespread museum dedicated to the genius.
Vinci is the ideal place to taste traditional Tuscan cuisine such as pappa col pomodoro, spelled soup and black cabbage porridge. In the hills of Vinci, Tuscan IGP extra virgin olive oil is produced, and in my opinion, the best porchetta I've ever tasted is made here.

Very small village almost entirely restored to visit in 30/45 minutes, to totally avoid the Leonardo museum where there are only reconstructions and photos, nothing original.
