★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Mestečko, ktoré bolo v etruskom a rímskom období v tieni susednej Slovany, sa do popredia dostalo až v stredoveku vďaka rodom Aldobrandeschi a Orsini. Dnes je mesto navštevované najmä vďaka pevnosti Orsini a etruským pamiatkam - kolumbáriám v okolí.
 The town, which was in the Etruscan and Roman period in the shadow of neighboring Slavs, came to the fore in the Middle Ages thanks to the families Aldobrandeschi and Orsini. Today, the town is visited mainly thanks to the fortress of Orsini and the Etruscan monuments - the columbari in the vicinity.

È un paese molto antico ed è soprannominato la Matera della Toscana per i suoi edifici rupestri scavati nel tufo. Molto belle e ben tenute sono le sue Mura, come tutte le chiese e i monumenti. È un borgo tutto da visitare e conoscerne la storia.
Sorano is a town in the province of Grosseto and has the recognition with the Orange Flag of the Italian Touring Club. It is a very ancient town and is nicknamed the Matera of Tuscany for its cave buildings dug out of the tuff. Its walls are very beautiful and well-kept, like all churches and monuments. It is a village to be visited and to know its history.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Arrivando dalla strada tutto di in tratto questo paese compare nella sua incredibile bellezza. Non ci sono posti simili al mondo, forse Bagnoregio, ma l'impatto è di tale portata da rimanerne sconvolti.
L'interno, la parte storica ed il corso sono tipici dei borghi, molti negozi e interessanti botteghe.
Un must per chi vuole visitare la Maremma.
Coming from the road all of a sudden this country appears in its incredible beauty. There are no similar places in the world, perhaps Bagnoregio, but the impact is of such magnitude as to be shocked.
The interior, the historical part and the course are typical of the villages, many shops and interesting shops.
A must for anyone who wants to visit the Maremma.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Un borgo pittoresco, come il suo gemello maggiore Pitigliano, dove si possono vedere le case aggrovigliate in un dedalo di viuzze dove camminarci diventa un'esperienza unica e rilassante. Alcuni scorci sono veramente simili a dipinti. Merita assolutamente di essere visitato.
A picturesque village, like its larger twin Pitigliano, where you can see the houses tangled in a maze of alleys where walking becomes a unique and relaxing experience. Some views are very similar to paintings. Absolutely worth a visit.
