Spiaggia caratterizzata dalla visuale del castello da un lato e della montagna dall'altra con la Sicilia di fronte, molto suggestivo e caratteristico. la spiaggia è molto bella con un alternanza di lidi e spiagge aperte, ci sono molti ristoranti proprio a pochi metri dalla spiaggia e molti chioschi e bancarelle che rendono piacevole la passeggiata tra un bagno e l'altro. L'acqua e la spiaggia sono molto puliti, l'acqua è particolarmente fredda. il paese è molto piccolo e non è attrezzato con parcheggi adeguati per la mole di turisti, parcheggiare è un incubo. beautiful and very charming place. Beach characterized by the view of the castle on one side and the mountain on the other with Sicily in front, very suggestive and characteristic. the beach is very beautiful with an alternation of beaches and open beaches, there are many restaurants just a few meters from the beach and many kiosks and stalls that make the walk between one bath and another pleasant. The water and the beach are very clean, the water is particularly cold. the village is very small and is not equipped with adequate parking spaces for tourists, parking is a nightmare.

Paesaggio bellissimo con tramonti mozzafiato ..... ma gli antichi profumi dei giardini di favazzina si sono trasformati in olezzo insopportabile... la buonissima acqua che sgorgava naturale dalla montagna è svanita e centellinata ( viene chiusa ogni sera fino al mattino dopo) ...il mare cristallino con tutte le sfumature del turchese c’è ancora ... ma la grande spiaggia di un tempo non esiste più ...la sabbia è sparita ... divorata da massi buttati a caso e dalle colate di cemento per difendere le ville costruite selvaggiamente sulla spiaggia.. Spazzatura non raccolta,, assenza di spiagge accessibili, trionfo di arroganza e prepotenza. Pochi servizi e pure mediocri. Cementificazione oltre ogni immaginazione.... fa solo male tornare qui ogni anno... sempre peggio. Comunque una sosta al tramonto per godersi lo spettacolo resta consigliata! ..finché non vi imbattete in un cumulo di spazzatura....? Favazzina! A small village in the municipality of Scilla. Beautiful landscape with breathtaking sunsets ..... but the ancient scents of the favazzina gardens have turned into unbearable smell ... the delicious water that flowed naturally from the mountain has vanished and sipped (it is closed every evening until the next morning). ..the crystalline sea with all the shades of turquoise is still there ... but the great beach of the past no longer exists ... the sand has disappeared ... devoured by randomly thrown boulders and by pouring concrete to defending the villas built wildly on the beach. Uncollected garbage, absence of accessible beaches, triumph of arrogance and bullying. Few services and even mediocre. Cementing beyond imagination .... it only hurts to come back here every year ... worse and worse. However, a stop at sunset to enjoy the show is recommended! .. until you come across a pile of garbage .... ?
d	domenico buonanno on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Posto stupendo con un mare meraviglioso....ma purtroppo con spazzatura ovunque sulla spiaggia ,sul lungomare , con cestini sepolti sotto i rifiuti , non so se hanno problemi di discariche ....o non esistono gli spazzini......ma la cosa e vergognosa !!! e dispiace tanto perché la cittadina e molto bella con piccole case che dall' alto arrivano su un bell lungomare e senza nessun condomino mostruoso a vista ( cosa rara al sud ) e con un mare linpidissimo !! ( ma ahimé con plastiche che galleggiavano qui e la !!!! Wonderful place with a wonderful sea .... but unfortunately with garbage everywhere on the beach, on the promenade, with bins buried under the waste, I don't know if they have problems with landfills .... or there are no scavengers ... but the thing is shameful !!! and I'm so sorry because the town is very beautiful with small houses that reach a beautiful seafront from above and without any monstrous condominium in sight (which is rare in the south) and with a very clear sea !! (but alas with plastics that floated here and there !!!!
V	Vincenzo Saturno on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Bellissimo borgo marinaro, unico, mare limpido e cristallino caratterizzato da una temperatura dell'acqua piuttosto fredda. Sia il lungomare che il vicino bordo di Chianalea sono pieni di locali, alcuni con i tavoli dislocati su palafitta, ove è possibile gustare dal tipico panino col pesce spada alle classiche pietanze marinare. Ma.... non è ammissibile che sul lungomare i cestini per la raccolta dei rifiuti siano talmente stracolmi (ho visto gli stessi rifiuti per i due giorni che ho trascorso lì) che tutto intorno si crei una vera e propria situazione imbarazzante, tanto che alla prima folata di vento, parte di questi rifiuti vada dispersa sulla spiaggia adiacente. Stesso dicasi per le strade pubbliche, non spazzate quotidianamente. Purtroppo un gioiello così non merita di essere amministrato in questo modo, per rispetto degli imprenditori locali prima, e dei turisti poi. Beautiful seaside village, unique, clear and crystalline sea characterized by a rather cold water temperature. Both the promenade and the nearby edge of Chianalea are full of clubs, some with tables located on stilts, where you can taste from the typical swordfish sandwich to the classic seafood dishes. But .... it is not admissible that on the seafront the waste collection baskets are so overcrowded (I have seen the same waste for the two days that I spent there) that everything around creates a real embarrassing situation, so much so that at the first gust of wind, part of this waste must be dispersed on the adjacent beach. Same goes for public roads, not swept daily. Unfortunately, such a jewel does not deserve to be administered in this way, out of respect for local entrepreneurs first, and tourists later.
