È un borgo bellissimo, pulito e ben tenuto. Ad ogni monumento, piazza, vicolo o altro, ci sono le targhette con la storia del luogo, molto utile ai numerosi turisti che visitano Pienza tutto l'anno
 Pienza is a Tuscan town in the province of Siena. Due to its artistic importance, the historic center has been declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. It is a beautiful village, clean and well maintained. For every monument, square, alley or other, there are plates with the history of the place, very useful to the many tourists who visit Pienza all year long

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Pienza fino al 1462 era un piccolo borgo, inseguito uno dei suoi cittadini è divenuto papa con il nome di Pio II che volle trasformare il suo luogo natale in una cittadina rinascimentale ideale. Nella piazza a lui dedicata si concentra il patrimonio artistico storico della città: la cattedrale di fronte il palazzo comunale, accanto palazzo Piccolomini. Pienza è divenuta così una cittadina di rara bellezza, tanto da essere scelta da Zeffirelli nel 1968 come ambientazione al film Romeo e Giulietta!
Pienza until 1462 was a small village, chased one of its citizens became pope with the name of Pius II who wanted to transform his birthplace into an ideal Renaissance town. The historical artistic heritage of the city is concentrated in the square dedicated to him: the cathedral in front of the town hall, next to Palazzo Piccolomini.
