Versuchen Sie herauszufinden, an welchem Tag der Wochenmarkt stattfindet und dann nix wie hin. Geparkt wird zeitig vor dem Krankenhaus auf dem öffentlichen Parkplatz. Unbedingt zahlen, weil sonst der Abschleppdienst Umsatz macht. Anschließend gehen Sie einkaufen. Was? Na auf alle Fälle Tomaten und Stracchino. Ohne Stracchino wäre Italien nicht Italien. Tomate und Mozarella gibts auch in Berlin, doch Tomaten und Stracchino kann ich leider nur in Italien haben. Es ist ein zarter, streichfähiger Weichkäse, der sehr mild ist und damit genau so schmeckt, wie ich es von Käse erwarte. Stracchino gibt es in jedem Supermarkt, doch meine Lieblings-Stracchino kaufe ich in Negrar. Ein kleiner Ort kurz vor Verona, wo am Montag immer ein Wochenmarkt für die Landbevölkerung stattfindet, wenig Touristen rumlaufen und ich die ganze Stracchino für mich alleine haben kann. Um nach Negrar zu gelangen fahren sie vom Gardasee aus kommend in Affi in Richtung San Ambrogio/ S. Pietro in Cariano und weiter nach Negrar. Auf dem Markt finden sie neben viel Gemüse, Bekleidung, Fisch und Fleisch fast immer drei Käsestände, die alle Stracchino anbieten. Ich gehe seit Jahren zu FRATELLI TURCATO dal 1921 SPECIALITA FORMAGGI aus Villafranca. Sie erkennen die beiden freundlichen Herren an ihren roten Basecaps. Dazu sollte man unbedingt noch etwas Vittorio Veneto kaufen. Für mich der beste Hartkäse überhaupt. Alles einpacken, eine Flasche Rotwein nicht vergessen und dann weiter zur Ponte di Veja wo man Picknick macht. Negrar, near Verona, is pretty ... although pretty is common in this area. To get to Negrar, drive from Lake Garda in Affi towards San Ambrogio / S. Pietro in Cariano and on to Negrar. In addition to lots of vegetables, clothing, fish and meat, you will almost always find three cheese stands on the market, all of which offer stracchino. I have been going to FRATELLI TURCATO dal 1921 SPECIALITA FORMAGGI from Villafranca for years. You can recognize the two friendly gentlemen by their red baseball caps. In addition, you should definitely buy some Vittorio Veneto. For me the best hard cheese ever. Pack everything, don't forget a bottle of red wine and then on to the Ponte di Veja where you can have a picnic.
