★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Gemmano è un piccolo borgo che sorge su una irta collina. Le sue origini risalgono al 270 come indicato da una stele posta nel giardino comunale quando un certo Geminius realizzaò il castello e lo chiamò "gemma in mano" in ricordo del figlio. Dell'epoca medievale sono rimaste solamente le mura, ben conservate, che lo circondano completamente. Il borgo è costituito da poche case, dal municipio, dalla chiesa di San Lorenzo Martire di recente realizzazione e da poco altro. Un bel balcone verso il mare offre un bel panorama sulle colline circostanti fino alla riviera adriatica.
Gemmano is a small village that stands on a steep hill. Its origins date back to 270 as indicated by a stele placed in the communal garden when a certain Geminius built the castle and called it "gemma in mano" in memory of his son. Only the well-preserved walls that completely surround it remain from the medieval period. The village consists of a few houses, the city hall, the church of San Lorenzo Martire recently built and little else. A beautiful balcony facing the sea offers a beautiful view of the surrounding hills as far as the Adriatic coast.
