a	alisei. net on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Un piccolo e grazioso paesino di antiche origini posto all'interno del parco del Frugnano che si sviluppa nel fondo valle creato dalla confluenza di due torrenti. Il borgo è stato insignito della Bandiera Arancione del TCI ed è annoverato tra i Borghi più Belli d’Italia. Fiumalbo è interessante e meritevole di una bella visita anche se disturba vedere case con le facciate che non rispettano lo stile architettonico di un borgo dalle origini medievali. Diverse sono quelle intonacate e lasciate grige (nemmeno dipinte) aspetto che non valorizza il borgo. Discorso a parte per i tetti che qui sono quasi tutti a pianne come da tradizione locale. Rimane comunque piacevole muoversi tra i suoi vicoli silenziosi e puliti assaporando sensazioni di altri tempi. A questo va aggiunto il contesto naturale che circonda Fiumalbo, un paesaggio quasi incontaminato paradiso per gli amanti delle passeggiate nella natura, ideale durante le calde giornate estive. A small and pretty village of ancient origins located within the Frugnano park which develops in the valley bottom created by the confluence of two streams. The village was awarded the Orange Flag of the TCI and is counted among the most beautiful villages in Italy. Fiumalbo is interesting and worthy of a nice visit even if it disturbs seeing houses with facades that do not respect the architectural style of a medieval village. Several are those plastered and left gray (not even painted), an aspect that does not enhance the village. A separate discussion for the roofs which are almost all flat here as per local tradition. However, it is still pleasant to move through its quiet and clean alleys, savoring sensations of other times. To this must be added the natural context that surrounds Fiumalbo, an almost unspoiled landscape paradise for lovers of nature walks, ideal during hot summer days.

Domenica ero su e c'era il camion dei panini, una coppia di marito e moglie che avevamo già visto in fiera a Modena, panino con la porchetta strepitoso. Tutto il centro storico, la rocca ed il fiume. Di seguito alcune immagini, il giorno dopo si svolgerà la classica fiera... Adatto a tutti. E ci sono, per tutto il weekend stand gastronomici con porchetta etc. Buona visione. Se l’origine del paese è sconosciuta, si sa però che un primo nucleo abitativo era già presente nel 1038, anno in cui il Marchese Bonifacio di Toscana, padre di Matilde di Canossa, donò al Vescovo di Modena la “Rocca che si chiama Fiumalbo”. Anche nel periodo Estense si mantennero buoni rapporti con Modena, mentre parallelamente si sviluppò una certa reciproca influenza con il versante toscano, evidente anche oggi nella presenza di alcune inflessioni dialettali e di diversi nomi toscani nelle famiglie di Fiumalbo.
