Place antique charm, hit by sunlight from sunrise to sunset and fraquentato by eminent personalities from several hundred years because of its healthy climate ...... and beyond.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Sicuramente il più bel comune della valle. Spesso troppo sottovalutata rispetto ad altre realtà, Craveggia è una perla da riscoprire a piedi in ogni stagione. Tradizionali tetti a piode, centinaia di tipici camini, decine di fontane e vicoli incantevoli... Molto pittoresche anche le due frazioni Vocogno e Prestinone.
Certainly the most beautiful municipality in the valley. Often too underrated compared to other realities, Craveggia is a pearl to be rediscovered on foot in every season. Traditional pitched roofs, hundreds of typical fireplaces, dozens of fountains and enchanting alleys ... The two hamlets Vocogno and Prestinone are also very picturesque.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Caveggia è un comune italiano di 760 abitanti della provincia del Verbano-Cusio-Ossola. È uno dei borghi piu pittoreschi della valle Vigezzo ed è famoso per i suoi innumerevoli camini in pietra, che svettano sopra i tetti in piode delle case. In passato gli alti camini erano considerati simbolo di ricchezza delle famiglie borghesi del luogo, che facevano a gara per chi ne costruiva di più imponenti e numerosi. Bellissima la chiesa parrocchiale dei SS, Giacomo e Cristoforo che sorge nella piazza dei miracoli, su cui si affaccia un prezioso complesso monumentale formato oltre che dalla parrocchia stessa, dal battistero e dall'oratorio di Santa Marta.
Caveggia is an Italian town of 760 inhabitants in the province of Verbano-Cusio-Ossola. It is one of the most picturesque villages in the Vigezzo valley and is famous for its countless stone fireplaces, which stand above the pitched roofs of the houses. In the past, high chimneys were considered a symbol of wealth for the local bourgeois families, who competed for those who built more impressive and numerous ones. The parish church of SS, Giacomo and Cristoforo is very beautiful and stands in the Piazza dei Miracoli, overlooked by a precious monumental complex formed not only by the parish itself, but also by the baptistery and the oratory of Santa Marta.

Pranzato nel ristorantino della piazza. Cordialità e mangiato molto bene.
Craveggia, a jewel town in the Vigezzo valley, I got married in the beautiful church 47 years ago, precisely on September 1st.
Lunch in the restaurant in the square. Friendliness and ate very well.
