Un fascino ancestrale che rapisce lo sguardo. Venndo da San Mango, dopo i primi tornanti si arriva in un punto di congiunzione tra due mondi, si entra nei boschi e si apre la splendida vista sui monti, dive il borgo di Castiglione si innesta come un presepe. Dopo il bivio per Tubenna si giunge all'imbocco del paese con l'Antico Granaio che s'intravede in mezzo agli alberi, quasi a nascondere il borgo, posto alla fine di una lunga e ripida salita aggrappato al fianco del monte e con lo sguardo sul golfo. Il profumo dei camini accesi fin dal mattino inebria i viandanti con un gusto che sa l'antico... E’ possibile visitare la casa-museo dell’Abate, filosofo Antonio Genovesi in cui sono conservati la camera da letto e lo studio con i primi scritti del giovane, nato a Castiglione nel 1713. Le risorse del paese, come di altri centri del Picentino, sono la castagna e la nocciola ampiamente coltivati su tutto il territorio.
