★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The church is open: 6:45 to 12:00, 16:00 (summer, 17:00) to 19:00.
The liturgical activities here are extensive for a non-parochial church.
Mass is celebrated: Weekdays 7:00, 8:00, 9:00, 18:00 (18:30 in summer);
Sundays 7:00, 8:30, 10:00, 11:30, 18:00 (18:30 in summer).
Confession is available 7:30 to 12:00, 16:30 to 19:00 but starts an hour later on Sundays for both time-slots.
There are devotions to St Anthony after the Masses on Tuesday.
Eucharistic adoration takes place on Sundays.
This enormous and impressive church was completed in 1887 for the Franciscan Friars Minor after they were expelled from their headquarters at Aracoeli in order to make way for the Wedding Cake. It is a centre of devotion to St Anthony in Rome, and the city's Franciscan stronghold (the headquarters are now near the Vatican, but not easy to find). Don't miss spotting the little spire in gilded mosaic.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I know things are hard for everyone during Covid. Yesterday, I finally walked past when the presepi display was open. Was really looking forward to seeing it, my neighborhood. As a non European, it's impossibile to have a green pass. I'm fully vaxed and boosted. I carry my CDC card and the Italian document from Ministero della Salute recognizing this card as equal to a green pass. I was denied entry. Very disappointed. Yet, I do understand that it's impossible to brief everyone on the rules.
