Bellissimo posto per ammirare la statua del Cristo Re, per visitare la chiesa con i suoi affreschi con il ristorantino al piano superiore e tutto il bel panorama del bellissimo borgo di Bienno con il suo circondario. Ci si può benissimo anche arrivare in macchina ed usufruire del parcheggio vicino adiacente. Passando da questa zona è consigliabile fare una visita per ammirare questo bellissimo borgo di Bienno per le sue officine dei magli, per le sue botteghe artigianali e per le sue viuzze caratteristiche. Di notevole interesse, oltre lo splendido panorama, è la Sala di Santa Marta in cui si possono ammirare degli affreschi del 1516 attribuiti a Paolo da Caylina il vecchio. Non passa inosservata la grande statua in bronzo dorato del Cristo Re realizzata da Timo Bortolotti nel 1929. Da visitare assolutamente! This complex stands on a hill just outside Bienno. La venerazione di questa santa, ma più ancora la rappresentazione che ne veniva fatta (lei raccolta a pregare in una grotta), fece sì che l'antro buio venne identificato come il vano di una miniera. Da qui diventò la santa protettrice delle miniere e dei minatori. Tale tradizione, che già compariva nel vicino Tirolo, portò molto probabilmente al processo di diffusione della venerazione nelle zone limitrofe (come la Valle Camonica e Bienno) che si concluse con la nomina a protettrice di miniere e minatori anche qui. Consiglio di lasciare l'auto nel posteggio prima della salita(il cancello è accostato) e proseguire a piedi. Adatto a tutte le età. Excellent 10 minute walk.
