Avevo già visitato il museo in precedenza, sempre bello. Devo dire che l'esperienza di ieri, con amici milanesi, è stata davvero interessante, al di là di ogni aspettativa. Marta, la nostra guida, è stata esaustiva, appassionata e appassionante, ci ha raccontato la storia del museo e della produzione della seta in modo chiaro e competente. Da vedere, se passate di qua e volete per un'oretta immergervi nella cultura locale.... I have been a "steady" resident of Abbadia for 10 years. I have been coming here since 1983, for reasons of the heart .... I said this, as I might seem biased ... I had visited the museum before, always nice. I must say that yesterday's experience with Milanese friends was really interesting, beyond all expectations. Marta, our guide, was thorough, passionate and exciting, she told us the history of the museum and of silk production in a clear and competent way. A must see, if you pass this way and want to immerse yourself in the local culture for an hour ....

Ci sono modelli in miniatura dei macchinari a scopo didattico, varie sale con strumenti da laboratorio per la pesatura e il controllo della qualità, foto e stampe d'epoca che spiegano tutto il ciclo di lavorazione. Assolutamente da visitare! Very interesting museum with guided tour, there are wooden machinery, some of them restored and "working" for the processing of the silkworm thread. There are miniature models of the machinery for educational purposes, various rooms with laboratory instruments for weighing and quality control, photos and vintage prints that explain the entire processing cycle. A must visit!

Il museo conserva inoltre il torcitoio originale perfettamente conservato e funzionante. L’altezza del macchinario copre i 4 piani dell’intera struttura! It is a museum that collects evidence on silk processing, a very important sector for the local economy of the past.
