★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We stopped here for lunch and it was a great experience. Service was spot on, and they were very patient with our limited Italian. Portions *are* large; we left more than full and joked about rolling down the hill.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Il Vicolo is a very good small restaurant located in Abbadia Lariana across the railway climbing a little bit on the narrow street of the town. The place is shared in two rooms one on the right of the entrance and another one more internal. I had a very good lunch here. On the day they have a variable menu of three first , second and side courses you can choose your combo of first ,second and side.
The food quality is high , the staff is professional and nice to the customer. The price are good too and the owner , the big guy, is very friendly.
I recommend this place is you are close to Abbadia Lariana.

The host is a very friendly man who has fun in serving his food to the guest. The food is excellent and the portions are huge. So if you come here to eat, make sure you are hungry.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Service was friendly but no menu. After I left I notice the limited lunch menu outside which left me confused...I was charged more than the listed price. Food was good but I was looking for a "wow" factor that just was not there.
