Little expense, much yield ?? nice museum close to home, ancient machines still in working order and children's workshop. Highly recommended for adults and children.

La visita è stata estremamente coinvolgente per i nostri bambini di 6 e 8 anni grazie ad una straordinaria guida che ci ha permesso (con 2 euro a testa in più ben spesi) di vedere macchinari del 1800 in funzione!!! Consiglio a tutti di dedicare un'oretta ad una esperienza inattesa, alla scoperta di una delle più importanti radici storiche della nostra terra! A big surprise! A jewel a stone's throw from home! Did you know that it is the oldest silk museum !? The visit was extremely engaging for our 6 and 8 year old children thanks to an extraordinary guide who allowed us (with 2 euros more well spent) to see machinery from the 1800s in operation !!! I recommend everyone to dedicate an hour to an unexpected experience, to discover one of the most important historical roots of our land!

Tutti i macchinari sono funzionanti e mostrano ancora oggi l'affascinante ingegneria di allora. Una storia di lavoro duro e di alta professionalità che ci fa capire quanto sia davvero prezioso questo filato. The museum is a journey through time thanks to the commitment and availability of the volunteers who guided us on a path that starts from the silkworm and goes to the production of silk. All the machines are functional and still show the fascinating engineering of the time. A history of hard work and high professionalism that makes us understand how precious this yarn is.

Senza guida e leggendo da sé tutti i cartelli (purtroppo non c'è molto di digitale e tanti termini sono tecnici), la durata della visita può durare circa un'ora e mezza. A fianco della struttura c'è un parcheggio abbastanza spazioso, da cui si può accedere anche alla ciclabile del lago. Davvero interessante per tutte le età, consiglio di fare una tappa veloce sia a chi passa sia a chi abita nel territorio e vuole conoscere meglio la storia di questo settore, in cui tanti dei nostri nonni lavoravano. Well maintained, all the machines are in excellent condition; the best part is to see them in operation, especially the huge circular wringer two storeys high. Without guidance and reading by itself all the signs (unfortunately there is not much digital and many are technical terms), duration of the visit can last about an hour and a half. Next to the hotel there is a decent sized parking lot, from which you can also access the cycle of the lake. Really interesting for all ages, I suggest you take a quick step is to those who pass and those who live in the area and want to learn more about the history of this industry, in which many of our grandparents worked.

Impressionante che alcuni strumenti siano ancora in funzione, è stato bellissimo scoprirne il funzionamento. La ragazza che ci ha accolti è stata gentilissima e ci ha spiegato con grande cura di dettagli la storia della filanda, abbiamo apprezzato molto. Complimenti! An unmissable museum! Through original ancient machinery, it is possible to fully grasp the importance of the silk business in the area. Impressive that some tools are still in operation, it was great to discover how they work. The girl who greeted us was very kind and explained the history of the spinning mill with great attention to detail, we really appreciated it. Congratulations!

All'interno sono presenti esperienze del settore della seta risalenti ai secoli precedenti. Le macchine esposte sono uniche e sono state riassemblate alla perfezione dai volontari del museo e sono funzionanti. A unique experience in Brianza. I was able to visit the museum thanks to an intervention project in a course of the Milan Polytechnic. Inside there are experiences of the silk sector dating back to previous centuries. The machines on display are unique and have been reassembled to perfection by museum volunteers and are in working order.
