Il palazzo del municipio, posto nel centro del paese, ha un grande giardino sul retro visitabile negli orari d'apertura e nel quale vengono celebrati matrimoni o altre cerimonie di carattere pubblico. All'interno del palazzo è posto anche l'ufficio turistico dove vi riceverà con grande esperienza e cortesia Erica Braccini, autrice tra l'altro della guida turistica "camminando per Palaia e dintorni" acquistabile direttamente da lei per soli 5 euro, con lei tutti i martedì mattina nel periodo estivo potrete fare visite guidate gratuite dell'abitato di Palaia e a tutti i monumenti di interesse storico. Al primo piano il palazzo comunale mostra anche sale affrescate come la "sala del turco" visitabili durante le visite guidate e gli stemmi dei podestà che nel corso dei secoli scorsi si sono succedute nell'amministrazione del territorio del comune. The town of Palaia is located halfway between the cities of Pisa and Florence, a place in the heart of the Tuscan hills and a destination for many European tourists who choose the inhabited area of Palaia and the neighboring countries for their holidays. The town hall building, located in the center of the town, has a large back garden which can be visited during opening hours and where weddings or other public ceremonies are celebrated. Inside the building there is also the tourist office where Erica Braccini, author of the tourist guide "walking through Palaia and surroundings", can be purchased with great experience and courtesy. It can be purchased directly from her for only 5 euros, with her all on Tuesday mornings in the summer you can take free guided tours of the town of Palaia and all the monuments of historical interest. On the first floor, the town hall also shows frescoed rooms such as the "Turkish room" which can be visited during guided visits and the coats of arms of the podestàs who have succeeded each other in the administration of the municipality over the past centuries.

Nell’ atrio si possono ammirare gli antichi stemmi dei Podestà mentre, lungo le scale e in alcune sale, sono visibili alcuni bellissimi affreschi di fine ‘700 attribuiti a Luigi Ademollo e Gaspare Bargioni, come la sala della Giunta e la sala egizia. This is the former Palazzo Cecchi and represents one of the most historic buildings in the village. In the atrium you can admire the ancient coats of arms of the Podestà while, along the stairs and in some rooms, you can see some beautiful late 18th century frescoes attributed to Luigi Ademollo and Gaspare Bargioni, such as the Sala della Giunta and the Egyptian room.
