★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Amazing pizza, the thinest base possible. Lovely staff and very low cost. We ate on a Sunday night and it was full of local families, always a good sign.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The pizza was great, the pasta was average and the risotto was only rice with a bad sauce and no flavour. It did not taste like it was made with stock and wine and had no cheese in it at all. Our waiter was lovely and tried to be very accomodating. At the end of the night the cook (not chief) tried to make us pay for the two risotto dishes even though we sent them back and only ate a few mouthfuls. Very disappointed

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ July ‘21. Slow and low energy service. Dry meat, no usage of salt or pepper. Uninspiring grill plate. I suggest to order something which is more Italian. Expect to pay 4 € per pax for coperto, despite not ordering it.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Excellent local restaurant. The attention was good and the ambience terrific. The food was delicious and cooked on spot. We went there to say bye to this inctedible town in Italy. Palaia is a grrat option if you want a quiet place in the country side to stay in. It is close to Pisa and close to Florence, what else would you ask for? Lol
