G	Giorgio Ricciotti on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nel 1583, per sopperire alla mancanza di una sede adeguata, viene deciso di abbattere l'edificio per affidare la costruzione della nuova chiesa al confratello Ascanio Vitozzi da Orvieto. L'architetto progetta una fabbrica che richiama costantemente il motivo della trinità proponendo un progetto a pianta centrale che prevede tra l'altro tre ingressi, tre cantorie e tre altari. L'interno, in marmi policromi è prevalentemente opera del celebre architetto messinese Filippo Juvarra (1718), la cupola, mai finita esternamente, presenta affreschi ottocenteschi di Luigi Vacca e di Francesco Gonin. La facciata è opera del 1831 di Angelo Marchini. I bombardamenti del 13 luglio del 1943 causarono gravi danni alla parte absidale (oggi priva di decorazioni) e all'altare settecentesco opera di maestri luganesi che oggi si presenta spoglio e privo delle statue lignee di Ingazio Perucca. La sagrestia, realizzata su disegno del conte Agliaudi di Tavigliano, allievo del Juvarra nel 1739, rappresenta un piccolo gioiello poco conosciuto e vi si conserva all'interno il pregevole affresco del Beaumont che rappresenta il sacrificio di Melchisedec. The bombings of 13 July 1943 caused serious damage to the apsidal part (now devoid of decorations) and to the eighteenth-century altar by the Lugano masters, which today appears bare and without the wooden statues of Ingazio Perucca. The sacristy, built on the design of Count Agliaudi di Tavigliano, a pupil of Juvarra in 1739, represents a little little-known jewel and inside there is the fine fresco of Beaumont which represents the sacrifice of Melchisedec.

Una curiosità architettonica: sul pavimento è possibile rilevare il triangolo equilatero inscritto nella circonferenza che la comprende: un chiaro simbolismo della Trinità. Costruita alla fine del 1500 è un bellissimo monumento da visitare nelle ore in cui non ci sono le sante messe. Walking along Via Garibaldi, in the center of Turin, a few steps from Piazza Castello you will find this beautiful and marvelous church, in Baroque style, designed by Juvarra, inside beautiful frescoes and decorations, just restored, admission is free, the advice, if you pass in that area it is worth a visit.
