★ ★ ★ ★ ★ La chiesa mi ha subito interessato per la posizione ai piedi del castello e per la planimetria ottagonale. Del resto siamo in piena zona federiciana.
La struttura è di origine normanna, e visto la storia locale non escluderei fosse anche più antica. Purtroppo è stata rimaneggiata più volte nel tardo rinascimento e nel barocco.
Fantastico anche tutto il borgo che si sviluppa fra la chiesa e le mura, stradine strette e tortuose, casette addossate, balconi con i panni stesi ad asciugare.
The church immediately interested me for the position at the foot of the castle and for the octagonal plan. After all, we are in the middle of the Frederick area.
The structure is of Norman origin, and given the local history I would not exclude it was even older. Unfortunately it was remodeled several times in the late Renaissance and in the Baroque.
The whole village that develops between the church and the walls is also fantastic, narrow and winding streets, small houses, balconies with clothes hanging out to dry.
