F	Francesco Soletti on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A margine della strada Regina la chiesa di San Lorenzo venne eretta nel 1775 in sostituzione dell'antica parrocchiale di Tremezzo, ritenuta inadeguata anche per la crescente presenza di villeggianti. La nuova chiesa venne completata solo nel 1894 e corredata nel 1925 della scala del sagrato, che incornicia l'antistante Monumento ai Caduti. La chiesa è a pianta centrale ottagonale coperta da tetto a padiglione. Le fattezze sono eclettiche tra il neogotico della facciata con guglie e il neoromanico dell'abside. Il campanile è dotato di un apprezzato concerto di cinque campane. L'interno venne affrescato nel coro e nella volta ai primi del Novecento dal pittore Luigi Tagliaferri (1841-1927). Tra gli altari, per lo più provenienti dall'antica chiesa, risalta quello neogotico della Madonna del Rosario, con statua barocca in legno, progettato e decorato da Eliseo Fumagalli (1887-1943). On the side of the Regina road, the church of San Lorenzo was erected in 1775 to replace the ancient parish church of Tremezzo, considered inadequate also due to the growing presence of holidaymakers. The new church was completed only in 1894 and equipped in 1925 with the staircase of the churchyard, which frames the opposite War Memorial. The church has an octagonal central plan covered by a hipped roof. The features are eclectic between the neo-Gothic facade with spiers and the neo-Romanesque apse. The bell tower has an appreciated concert of five bells. The interior was frescoed in the choir and in the vault in the early twentieth century by the painter Luigi Tagliaferri (1841-1927). Among the altars, mostly from the ancient church, the neo-Gothic one of the Madonna del Rosario stands out, with a baroque wooden statue, designed and decorated by Eliseo Fumagalli (1887-1943).

In stile neogotico-neoromanico la Chiesa è a navata unica e presenta all'interno alcuni affreschi del pittore Luigi Tagliaferri risalenti al 1906-1910 circa e a sin. l'altare neogotico della Madonna del Rosario. All'esterno é preceduta dal Monumento ai Caduti e da una scalinata. La Chiesa sorge su una piazzetta affacciata sulla via Regina fronte lago.
