Si trova nella parte più alta del colle, all'interno custodisce dipinti del XVII secolo e il meraviglioso affresco realizzato dal Maestro Jacopo Siculo nel 1536. La piazzetta è una grande cisterna. Da abbinare alla visita della chiesa francescana di Santa Maria Assunta, gioiello tardo gotico affrescato da pittori giotteschi e situata nel borgo di Santa Maria
San Giovanni Battista is the parish church of Vallo di Nera and one of the five churches in the town-castle. It is located in the highest part of the hill, inside it houses paintings of the seventeenth century and the wonderful fresco created by the master Jacopo Siculo in 1536. The square is a large cistern. To be combined with a visit to the Franciscan church of Santa Maria Assunta, a late Gothic jewel frescoed by Giotto painters and located in the village of Santa Maria
