E	Elv Di Blasi on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Quasi alla fine di Strada di Certosa, grazie alla sua posizione sul crinale ha un fantastico panorama sulle campagne, ed a ovest in lontananza si vede Siena, nemmeno troppo lontana per poter essere il punto di Partenza per una piacevole passeggiata di un paio di km.E'presente comunque una fermata del pollicino, anche se gli orari sono radi. A poche centinaia di metri proseguendo a Sud, passato il ponte col torrentello Riluogo, c'e' l'imbocco della francigena. Almost at the end of Strada di Certosa, thanks to its position on the ridge has a fantastic view of the countryside, and to the west in the distance you can see Siena, not too far to be the starting point for a pleasant walk of a couple of kilometers. However, there is a stop at the Pollicino, even if the times are sparse. A few hundred meters going south, past the bridge with the Riluogo torrent, there is the entrance to the francigena.
e	elvira di blasi on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Una vecchia chiesetta in una bella posizione,guardando dal crinale verso Siena ad ovest,e alla zona dell'Arbia verso sudest.Uno dei miei posti preferiti. Panorama splendido . A poca distanza, scendendo nell'ultima parte di strada di Certosa,sta il torrentello Riluogo e da li si apre un tratto della Francigena La zona di S.Pietrino fu forse già frequentata dagli etruschi. La localita'ed il suo castello (che in parte si e'conservato) sono noti dal XI è XII e' nota dalle carte del monastero di Montecelso ,che ne aveva il controllo,e nel 1200 era un comunello. La chiesa e'nota solo dal 1255 ma doveva essere di sicuro precedente,dando il nome al castello, e di certo con una fase romanica. Nel 1500,durante la guerra di Siena,fu distrutto il castello e gli abitanti dispersi. Probabilmente questo fu alla base anche del degrado della chiesa che negli anni 70 del 1500 appare sottoposta alla Badia al Piano e ricostruita ,ricalcando la piantae la semplice tipologia della chiesa romanica e riusandone parte delle bozze di pietra. La chiesa poi,come suffraganea,fu sottoposta alla Pieve al Bozzone. Oggi,dopo essere stati restaurati gli edifici intorno alla corte (splendido panorama su Siena!) sono diventati abitazioni da qualche anno e quindi girare intorno alla chiesa non e'piu'semplice come prima,mentre la chiesa resta sempre chiusa,anche se dipende dalla parrocchia di Maggiano(l'ex Certosa) An old church in a beautiful location, looking from the ridge towards Siena to the west, and the Arbia area to the southeast, one of my favorite places. Splendid panorama. A short distance away, going down the last part of the Certosa road, is the Riluogo torrent and from there a stretch of the Francigena opens up. The area of San Pietrino was perhaps already frequented by the Etruscans. The locality and its castle (which has been partly preserved) are known from the 11th and 12th centuries and is known from the papers of the monastery of Montecelso, which had control over it, and in 1200 it was a comunello. The church is known only from 1255 but it must have certainly been earlier, giving the castle its name, and certainly with a Romanesque phase. In 1500, during the war in Siena, the castle was destroyed and the inhabitants dispersed. Probably this was also at the basis of the deterioration of the church which in the 70s of 1500 appears to have been subjected to the Badia al Piano and rebuilt, tracing the plan and the simple typology of the Romanesque church and reusing part of the stone drafts. The church then, as a suffragan, was submitted to the Pieve al Bozzone. Today, after having been restored the buildings around the court (splendid view of Siena!) They have become homes for some years and therefore going around the church is no longer as simple as before, while the church is always closed, even if it depends on the parish of Maggiano (the former Certosa)
