Il campanile da l'idea che la cittadina sia a forma di nave, grazie anche all'albero maestro, la torre campanaria.
L'edificio sacro è in stile barocco.
Il campanile ha un altezza di 39 m, voluto dal cardinal Carlo e Lotavio II, nel 1607.
The parish church of San Pietro Apostolo, is built in the center of Poli, on a tapered tuff rock.
The bell tower gives the idea that the town is in the shape of a ship, thanks to the main mast, the bell tower.
The sacred building is in Baroque style.
The bell tower has a height of 39 m, commissioned by Cardinal Carlo and Lotavio II, in 1607.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ La chiesa arcipretale di San Pietro di Poli venne costruita tra il 1603 e il 1610, nel passaggio tra Manierismo e Barocco. In precedenza esisteva una chiesa di ridotte dimensioni abbattuta per lo stato fatiscente in cui versava e ricostruita con misure più ampie grazie alla munificenza della famiglia Conti di Poli.
E' un’ampia navata con volta a botte impostata su una cornice marcapiano aggettante con finestroni rettangolari che si aprono nelle vele. Le pareti laterali sono movimentate da 4 cappelle poco profonde per lato. La zona presbiteriale è a terminazione semicircolare con catino absidale cassettonato; l’altare è separato dal resto dell’edificio da una balaustra in marmo. Tra le opere d'arte, notevoli sono lo splendido organo, un busto di San Carlo Borromeo della scuola del Bernini e un martirio di Sant'Andrea del Borgognone, molto simile a quello presente nella chiesa berniniana di Sant'Andrea al Quirinale
The archpriest church of San Pietro di Poli was built between 1603 and 1610, in the passage between Mannerism and Baroque. Previously there was a church of reduced dimensions demolished due to the dilapidated state in which it poured and rebuilt with larger measures thanks to the munificence of the Conti di Poli family.
It is a large nave with a barrel vault set on a projecting string-course frame with rectangular windows that open into the sails. The side walls are moved by 4 shallow chapels on each side. The presbytery area has a semicircular termination with a coffered apse; the altar is separated from the rest of the building by a marble balustrade. Among the works of art, noteworthy are the splendid organ, a bust of San Carlo Borromeo from Bernini's school and a martyrdom of Sant'Andrea del Borgognone, very similar to that found in the Berninian church of Sant'Andrea al Quirinale
