Dal 1200 al 1800 circa fu governato dalla famiglia Conti; successivamente passò agli Sforza - Cesarini e ai Torlonia.Il centro storico del paese sembra una spina di pesce e ha 35 vicoli molto stretti. Il borgo medievale di Poli è rimasto intatto nel corso dei secoli, possiede un'ossatura stradale a "spina di pesce" (lunga strada al centro che attraversa il paese nella sua longitudinalità).
Palazzo Conti, fu costruito tra il XIII e il XIV sec. per volere del condottiero Torquato Conti.
La chiesa di Santo Stefano ha origini precedenti al 1000, conserva affreschi di Taddeo Zuccari e altri affreschi settecenteschi di Antonio Rosati.
La chiesa di Sant'Antonio Abate, è del XV sec. con affreschi secenteschi.
The municipality of Poli is located in Lazio and is part of the province of Rome. It has about 2153 inhabitants. Known since the 10th century, it reminds you of a fortress that belonged to the "gens Anicia".
From about 1200 to 1800 it was governed by the Conti family; later it passed to the Sforza - Cesarini and Torlonia families. ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Tranquillo e bello. E' una cittadina Dove Lo sport non manca e neanche l'amabillita' . I Panini sono sempre freschi e le patattine deliziose.
Quiet and beautiful. It is a town where sport is not lacking and not even amability. Sandwiches are always fresh and the fries delicious.
