★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lasciato il sentiero a metà strada per raggiungere il sito archeologico di Peltuinum, si percorre un sentiero che scende dalla collina in una località ombreggiata, dopo una curva appare la chiesa dal retro, con il suo stile di chiesa di centro Italia.
L'attribuzione della fondazione è da ritenersi molto antica, fra VII e VIII Sec. D.C., forse su un antico tempietto pagano, costruita con materiali di scarto, resistette anche dopo la fine della città, molto frequentato dai pastori che passavano vicino sulla via molto frequentata della transumanza.Dopo il crollo del XII Sec. fu ricostruita con lo stesso materiale mantenendo molto dell'originale.
All'interno è conservato un ciclo di affreschi del duecento sulla vita di San Paolo, e elementi decorativi Longobardi.
La chiesa purtroppo versa in stato di abbandono nonostante sia stata messa in sicurezza dopo gli ultimi terremoti che hanno colpito la regione. È chiusa al pubblico.

The attribution of the foundation is to be considered very ancient, between the seventh and eighth centuries AD, perhaps on an ancient pagan temple, built with waste materials, it resisted even after the end of the city, very popular with shepherds who passed nearby on the street very frequented transumanza.Dopo of the collapse of the XII Sec. was rebuilt with the same material retaining much of the original.
Inside there is a cycle of thirteenth-century frescoes on the life of San Paolo, and Lombard decorative elements.
Unfortunately, the church is in a state of neglect despite having been made safe after the last earthquakes that hit the region. It is closed to the public.
