La dicitura corretta attuale è quella di Centurelli e la costruzione dell'attuale chiesa fu iniziata a seguito di un miracolo avvenuto nel 1502 e nel 1561 fu completata. Annessa alla chiesa, che purtroppo è sempre chiusa e impossibile da visitare se non per appuntamento (?), c’è un’altra struttura che in passato veniva utilizzata dai pastori in transito come rifugio notturno. Altra bellissima chiesa del ricco territorio abruzzese.
