Conserva una delle tele più famose del Cavalier d’ Arpino. È inoltre conservato il sepolcro del cardinale Ennio Filonardi, personaggio che fu mecenate della cittadina.
La facciata ricalca quella cinquecentesca di san Giovanni dei Fiorentini a Roma. All'interno si possono osservare graffiti e croci sugli intonaci rimessi in luce sotto il rivestimento dei pilastri. Il primo a destra reca una data, l'ultimo a sinistra (verso il presbiterio) due croci vermiglie.
Si parcheggia preferibilmente esternamente alle Porte urbiche (dalle terrazze si gode un panorama mozzafiato sulla Ciociaria) e si raggiunge a piedi con una breve e incantevole passeggiata nel centro storico.
The Collegiate Church of San Michele Arcangelo is located in the central square of the town, certainly of ancient origins but rebuilt in 1700 by Jacopo Subleyra. It preserves one of the most famous paintings by the Cavalier d 'Arpino. The sepulcher of Cardinal Ennio Filonardi, a character who was patron of the town, is also preserved.
The facade follows the sixteenth-century facade of San Giovanni dei Fiorentini in Rome. Inside you can see graffiti and crosses on the plaster brought to light under the covering of the pillars. The first on the right bears a date, the last on the left (towards the presbytery) two vermilion crosses.
You preferably park outside the city gates (from the terraces you can enjoy a breathtaking view of the Ciociaria) and can be reached on foot with a short and enchanting walk in the historic center.
