★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The waitress went out of her way to make us feel comfortable. Even though we spoke little Italian and she spoke little English. The pasta with salmon was delicious and I'm not a big fan if salmon. The veal piccatta was amazing. Appetizer, 1st, 2nd courses, dessert and wine for €32. A bargain for the quality of the meal we ate.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We happened across this place while waiting for the church with the Giotto mosaic to open. The owner was incredibly friendly and the food was fantastic. I ordered the risotto dish which was one of the best I’ve ever tried. I highly recommend this place.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The Best restaurant we ate at in Italy. Authentic Italian food cooked and prepared by local Italian people. Restaurant building is over 500 years old and used to be a small olive oil factory. From the food to the atmosphere and the old walled town that it's in this is my favorite restaurant in the world. ( I've dined at several restaurants in 9 countries and 3 continents ).
The owner's son has a nearby restaurant that is also excellent.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I was here only for a wedding pre-gathering. The antipast was amazing, but I didn't get to eat dinner. We had some pizza but just what was brought out, nothing specific. The balsamic glaze you can get to basically put on everything is the first thing I ordered when I got back to the states. I really should have made the trip back on another day to try a dinner. This place is very cozy but enormous inside. The waiters were all very nice, patient and helpful. The wine was so good that we bought some bottles to bring back with us.
If we travel to this part of italy again, this place is on our map to revisit.
On a side note, the views from right outside the town where this place is located are beautiful.
