La leggenda narra che qui morì Santa Maria Salome, madre dei discepoli Giacomo e Giovanni e una delle tre Marie che si recarono la mattina di Pasqua al sepolcro trovandolo vuoto.
Church set in the green, delightfully recently restored and with an intense pastoral life.
Legend has it that Santa Maria Salome died here, mother of the disciples James and John and one of the three Marie who went to the sepulcher on Easter morning to find it empty.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Antico tempio situato nella contrada denominata "Spica" di imprecisata epoca di costruzione (la parte più antica sembrerebbe risalire ai primi anni del 1200);
Sulla parete retrostante l'Altare Maggiore è situata una tela che riproduce Santa Maria Salome, realizata nel 1889 dal pittore sorano Pietro Biancale.
Dietro la tela, realizzato direttamente sulla muratura, è invece presente un dipinto murario, di cui si ignora l'epoca e l'autore, raffigurante il volto della Santa. Il dipinto era posto all'interno di una nicchia ovale di cui oggi si scorgono appena i bordi. é presente inoltre una statua lignea intagliata a mano di ottima fattura risalente al XVII secolo rappresentante Gesù crocifisso

On the wall behind the High Altar is a canvas reproducing Santa Maria Salome, created in 1889 by the sorano painter Pietro Biancale.
Behind the canvas, made directly on the wall, there is a wall painting, of which the era is unknown and the author, depicting the face of the Saint. The painting was placed inside an oval niche of which today can be seen as soon as the edges. This is also a carved wooden statue Hand of excellent workmanship dating from the seventeenth century, representing the crucified Jesus
