La chiesa con il suo campanile fu costruita intorno alla fine del 1600, al posto della vecchia chiesa di S. Leonardo, che era più piccola.
DescrizioneLa chiesa di Santa Maria Assunta è stata ricostruita nel 1947 a seguito della sua distruzione sotto i bombardamenti avvenuti nel 1943. La ricostruzione ne ha conservato l'impianto barocco dell'interno, mentre l'esterno in mattoni a vista non può ricondursi ad alcuno stile preciso. E' dotata di un campanile con aperture arcuate e parte terminale con cupoletta a forma di cipolla.

The church with its bell tower was built around the end of 1600, in place of the old church of S. Leonardo, which was smaller.
Description The church of Santa Maria Assunta was rebuilt in 1947 following its destruction under bombing in 1943. The reconstruction has preserved the baroque layout of the interior, while the exterior in exposed brick cannot be traced back to any precise style. It has a bell tower with arched openings and an onion-shaped dome at the end.
