Historic Church of Ceccano ... located in one of the most scenic places in the area. The church was rebuilt after the war x the damage suffered during the bombing.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Una delle chiese più caratteristiche di Ceccano. Vicino ad uno dei fiumi, ahimè, più inquinati d'Italia. Ma non toglie nulla alla storia di una chiesa che, piccola Fossanova costruita attorno ad un'effige scultorea della Madonna col Bambino datata XII secolo e venerata dalla gente del fiume Sacco, è stata rasa al suolo durante il secondo conflitto mondiale e ricostruita "come era, dove era" attorno alla medesima effige, per miracolosa Volontà manifesta che ha impedito che la statua fosse spostata. Riconsacrata da Pio XII negli ultimi anni di pontificato, è ora concessa ai Padri Passionisti della vicina Badia. Location eccezionale e molto gettonata per i matrimoni religiosi.
One of the most characteristic churches of Ceccano. Near one of the rivers, alas, the most polluted in Italy.
