★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Chiesa molto bella, purtroppo viene aperta al pubblico raramente.
Venne fondata nel XII secolo, per poi venire ristrutturata nel XVI; l'interno conserva vari altari con statue policrome seicentesche e barocche, oltre ad una pala di Angelo Massarotti.
Recentemente è stato restaurato un abside che contiene degli affreschi quattrocenteschi della bottega dei Bembo e un frammento di una "Annunciazione" dei primi anni del Duecento.
Very beautiful church, unfortunately it is rarely open to the public.
It was founded in the 12th century and then restructured in the 16th century; the interior preserves various altars with seventeenth-century and baroque polychrome statues, as well as an altarpiece by Angelo Massarotti.
Recently, an apse containing 15th-century frescoes from the Bembo workshop has been restored and a fragment of an "Annunciation" from the early 13th century.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ E quando meno te lo aspetti, ti trovi davanti questa bellissima chiesa, mi sembrava chiusa e cosi non son entrato, ma dall'esterno promette molto bene.
And when you least expect it, you find yourself in front of this beautiful church, it seemed closed and so I have not entered, but from the outside it promises very well.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Bellissima chiesa cremonese sull' omonima piazza ...visitata nei giorni prossimi alla festa della Santa, in cui e' forte ed incalzante la sua attesa da parte dei bambini,e qui ,in una navata laterale davanti alla sua urna un bel cesto traboccante di desiderose letterine coloratissime ,ed altri vivaci addobbi ,a ricordare quanto e' sentita la presenza generosa della Santa siracusana in città.... nell' interno della chiesa si può ammirare un dipinto raffigurante San Girolamo Emiliani e la Vergine, opera di Antonio Beltrami,che ha favorevolmente catturato la mia attenzione(San Girolamo Miani,altro grande Santo ,anche lui legato ai bambini e patrono degli orfani) L'altare maggiore presenta il Martirio di Santa Lucia, opera di Angelo Massarotti. L'abside di sinistra conserva interessanti frammenti di affreschi appartenenti all'antica decorazione duecentesca. Direi propio una bella ed inaspettata sorpresa da questa chiesa.⛪??✋ Grazie a Dio ?
Beautiful Cremonese church on the homonymous square ... visited in the days next to the feast of the Saint, in which the children are waiting for her strong and pressing, and here, in a side aisle in front of her urn a beautiful basket overflowing with eager colorful letters, and other lively decorations, to remember how much the generous presence of the Syracusan saint is felt in the city .... inside the church you can admire a painting depicting San Girolamo Emiliani and the Virgin, by Antonio Beltrami, which has favorably captured my attention (San Girolamo Miani, another great saint, also linked to children and patron saint of orphans) The high altar presents the Martyrdom of Saint Lucia, the work of Angelo Massarotti. The left apse preserves interesting fragments of frescoes belonging to the ancient thirteenth-century decoration. I would say just a nice and unexpected surprise from this church. Thank God
