Ma a parte i bellissimi ricordi , la chiesa si presenta come un antico scrigno ricco di preziose opere d'arte tra cui spicca una tela del Perugino ,sapientemente restaurata qualche tempo fà . È una di quelle chiese in cui aleggia un'atmosfera di misticità e raccoglimento. Merita sicursmente una visita ... I am biased because I spent my childhood in that oratory. But apart from the wonderful memories, the church looks like an ancient treasure chest full of precious works of art among which a painting by Perugino, skilfully restored some time ago, stands out. It is one of those churches in which an atmosphere of mysticism and concentration hovers. Definitely worth a visit ...

Entrando ti senti "a casa" e più vicino al nostro Dio!Nonostante la sua maestosità ti fa provare sentimenti di serenità e pace ! Ed è sempre piacevole entrarci anche solo per una veloce preghiera ! I love this church very much because I have lived it with my husband since we are together, but for me it is the representation of the True Church !!! Upon entering you feel "at home" and closer to our God! Despite its majesty it makes you feel feelings of serenity and peace! And it's always nice to go in even for a quick prayer!

All'interno sono conservate alcune opere d'arte di massimo pregio, tra le quali spicca una raffinata pala del Perugino. A colpire maggiormente l'attenzione, però, è sicuramente la cappellina della navata destra contenente la Passione di Cristo di Barbarini, articolato gruppo scultoreo barocco realizzato in stucco nella seconda metà del Seicento. Bella anche la cappella Cavalcabò, affrescata da Bonifacio Bembo attorno alla metà del Quattrocento. Visita interessante, merita. Beautiful late medieval church in the heart of the city. Inside there are some works of art of the highest quality, among which a refined altarpiece by Perugino stands out. However, the chapel of the right nave containing the Passion of Christ by Barbarini, an articulated baroque sculptural group made of stucco in the second half of the seventeenth century, is most striking. The Cavalcabò chapel is also beautiful, frescoed by Bonifacio Bembo around the middle of the fifteenth century. Interesting visit, it deserves.

L'interno, diviso in tre navate, a pianta longitudinale. Le caratteristiche che rendono unica la chiesa: - l'opera del Perugino nel penultimo altare sulla destra; - opere del Campi - è la chiesa più lunga di Cremona. Assolutamente da visitare, e un ringraziamento al prete che ci ha fornito molte informazioni artistiche sulla chiesa. Ingresso: libero. Visitata l'8/05/2021 The church of Sant'Agostino is located in the historic center. The construction dates back to the 14th century, with subsequent alterations. The facade is in Romanesque style. The interior, divided into three naves, with a longitudinal plan. The features that make the church unique: - the work of Perugino in the penultimate altar on the right; - works by Campi - it is the longest church in Cremona. A must visit, and thanks to the priest who gave us a lot of artistic information about the church. Free admission. * Visited on 8/05/2021 *
L	Luciano Fallini on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Chiesa molto bella, edificata nel Trecento e rimaneggiata nel Cinquecento: nei secoli si è arricchita di importanti opere d'arte, quali gli affreschi di Bonifacio Bembo nella Cappella Cavalcabò, terza cappella di destra, e la tavola del Perugino, collocata sul quinto altare. Da non perdere anche la Cappella della Passione di Cristo, seconda cappella di destra, uno dei capolavori del barocco cremonese: realizzata in stucco dal comasco Giovanni Battista Barbarini nel 1666, raffigura la Passione di Cristo con statue di notevole interesse. In chiusura una curiosità: la pala dell'altare maggiore, dipinta nel 1594 dal cremonese Andrea Mainardi, che raffigura una rarissima iconografia da ricollegarsi alla cultura dell'Ordine Agostiniano: il Redentore viene compresso dagli angeli sotto a un torchio e il suo sangue viene raccolto in ampolle dai dottori della chiesa. Do not miss the Chapel of the Passion of Christ, the second chapel on the right, one of the masterpieces of the Cremonese Baroque: built in stucco by Como from Giovanni Battista Barbarini in 1666, it represents the Passion of Christ with statues of considerable interest. In closing a curiosity: the altarpiece of the main altar, painted in 1594 by the Cremonese Andrea Mainardi, which depicts a very rare iconography to be linked to the culture of the Augustinian Order: the Redeemer is compressed by the angels under a press and his blood is collected in ampoules from the church doctors.
