Molto bella la statua di san Giovanni e l'altare della riposizione. The parish church has been defined "the church of the angels" due to the numerous presence of these celestial creatures, especially on the altar. Very beautiful is the statue of St. John and the altar of the repositioning.

Il tutto favorisce la meditazione e il raccoglimento spirituale. It is a cozy place, simple for sacred furnishings, with moderately artistic but captivating frescoes. Non si tratta di un affresco classico accontentafedeli , ma riprende oltre alla scena classica di Cristo crocifisso anche la cattedrale di Managua sullo sfondo come segno della sofferenza del popolo Nicaraguense dopo il terremoto del 72 e accanto a Gesu' , con viso iracondo c' e' Giovanni evangelista ( quello dell' Apocalisse) e con viso compassionevole San Francesco ( quello degli ultimi). Secondo me e' una rappresentazione straordinaria che merita da sola le 5 stelle. I highly recommend going to look at the fresco depicting the Crucifixion made by the master Michilini. It is not a classic fresco satisfying the faithful, but in addition to the classic scene of Christ crucified, it also takes up the cathedral of Managua in the background as a sign of the suffering of the Nicaraguan people after the earthquake of 72 and next to Jesus, with an angry face there is John the Evangelist (that of the Apocalypse) and with a compassionate face St. Francis (that of the last ones). In my opinion it is an extraordinary representation that alone deserves the 5 stars.

Un raro esempio di edificio religioso con facciata interamente in cotto a testimonianza della tradizionale lavorazione dei laterizi sul territorio soprattutto nella frazione non a caso denominata "fornaci". L'edificio è strutturato con una navata centrale e da un piccolo grassetto trasversale. Purtroppo costruzioni storicamente successive hanno imbrigliato il fabbricato riducendo la sua dovuta e meritata rilevanza. Internamente non è molto ampia ma direi idonea per la comunità locale. Really nice the church of San Giovanni Battista. A rare example of religious building with a facade entirely cooked in testimony to the traditional processing of the bricks on the territory especially in the fraction not coincidentally called "furnaces." The building is structured with a central nave and a small cross bold. Unfortunately, historically successive constructions have harnessed the building, reducing its due and deserved importance. Internally it is not very large but I would say suitable for the local community.

Con gli ultimi interventi di restauro del 1918, fu rialzata la volta sopra l’altare maggiore e recuperato il battistero. Bellissime le porte in bronzo, a formelle, che raccontano la vita di San Giovanni Battista. Bellissimo è l'affresco della crocifissione dell'artista Sergio Michilini. Da visitare. The church already existing since 1566, the current building shows the changes made in the 1960s. With the last restoration work in 1918, the vault above the main altar was raised and the baptistery recovered. Beautiful bronze doors, in tiles, which tell the life of St. John the Baptist. Beautiful is the fresco of the crucifixion by the artist Sergio Michilini. To visit.
