★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Queta chiesa di Reggio Calabra è dedicata a San Giorgio, Santo patrono della città. L'edificio volge il portale principale sul Corso Garibaldi e costeggia la via Giudecca, dove si trova la parte iniziale del tapitoulan cittadino. L'interno è molto sobrio ed è anche sede di eventi vari e di premiazioni. Molto bella insomma.
This church of Reggio Calabra is dedicated to Saint George, the patron saint of the city. ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Chiesa posta nel cuore del centro storico della città, racchiude in sé una storia religiosa che pur nel rapido cambiar dei tempi, ha accompagnato diverse generazioni. Di recente alla sua conduzione è subentrato un nuovo prelato a causa del l'improvvisa scomparsa del parroco in carica, don Nuccio Santoro, che da molti anni era alla guida del Tempio.
In tempi relativamente recenti due dei parroci che hanno guidato la chiesa sono diventati Arcivescovi, parliamo di Monsignor Agostino e Monsignor Cassone - a tutti ben noti - , di alta formazione dottrinale e filosofica, che hanno contribuito notevolmente alla crescita umana, culturale e spirituale del popolo reggino.
Ci si aspetta e si spera che questa tradizione, antica e nobile nella sostanza e nella forma, continui ad essere rispettata in quanto identitaria della città e della sua storia.

Recently a new prelate took his place due to the sudden disappearance of the current parish priest, Don Nuccio Santoro, who had been at the head of the Temple for many years.
In relatively recent times two of the parish priests who led the church have become archbishops, we are talking about Monsignor Agostino and Monsignor Cassone - all well known - of high doctrinal and philosophical formation, who have contributed greatly to the human, cultural and spiritual growth of the people reggino.
We expect and hope that this tradition, ancient and noble in substance and form, continues to be respected as an identity of the city and its history.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Chiesa storica al centro della città, al suo interno e nel piccolo chiostro adiacente, reperti antichi di epoca greco/romanica. Peccato che la piazzetta davanti l'entrata sia diventata un chiosco per i bar nelle vicinanze, hanno rimesso anche le panchine....vergogna.
Historic church in the center of the city, inside and in the small adjacent cloister, ancient finds from the Greek / Romanesque period. Too bad that the square in front of the entrance has become a kiosk for nearby bars, they have also put the benches back .... shame.
