★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ci ho trascorso l'infanzia poiché abitavo vicino la chiesa ed andavo a scuola al San Pio X. Una chiesa non molto ricca internamente ma che comunque riserva bei ricordi. Ben gestita attualmente da Don Luigi Cannizzo.
I spent my childhood there because I lived near the church and went to school at the San Pio X. A church that is not very rich internally but still has good memories. Currently well managed by Don Luigi Cannizzo.

Poi una nota di colore: quando il coro ufficiale (molto bravo e ben diretto da una signora) canta, il parroco dovrebbe astenersi dal sovrapporre la propria voce perché questo, ahimè, non aiuta, anzi...
Well organized parish, historically one of the busiest in the city. More punctuality in the starting time of the functions would be appreciated. Then a note of color: when the official choir (very good and well directed by a lady) sings, the parish priest should refrain from superimposing his voice because this, alas, does not help, on the contrary ...

In stile moderno. Ampia e luminosa.
Pur non essendo antica, é molto amata dai reggini per la loro devozione particolare alla Madonna.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Chiesa storica di Reggio Calabria dove ha officiata San Gaetano Catanoso. Ci sono capitato per caso per sentire la Messa pomeridiana di Capodanno che è stata intensa e sentita. Quello che mi ha colpito di più è stato il coro, non il solito coro parrocchiale, ma uno polifonico, ben organizzato e diretto. Se capita ci ritorno proprio per questo
Historical church of Reggio Calabria where San Gaetano Catanoso officiated. I happened by chance to hear the New Year's afternoon Mass which was intense and heartfelt. What struck me most was the choir, not the usual parish choir, but a polyphonic, well organized and direct one. If it happens, I come back for this very reason
