Church of Saint Francis of Paola

Beautiful modern church, with a portal that almost makes it look like a Marian basilica. Especially since a large and beautiful inscription "Ave Maria" stands out with blue neon lights, which have been extinguished for some time now. And this is very sorry. From far away to evening it was immediately noticeable. An inscription that keeps company and besides being visually beautiful, raises the thought to higher goals. Take a collection to turn them back on. They will be a 1000 euros a year but it's worth it. Behind the railing stands a beautiful bronze statue of San Francesco di Paola, the great and famous Calabrian saint, the owner of the parish whose name it takes. The interior has a beautiful statue of Jesus on the left and another of the saintly friar of Paola and on a wall a work in clay from the life of the great miracle worker. On the right there is a painting of the Madonna of the miracle, that of the famous miracle that saw Rome instantly convert, I believe in 1846, the German atheist German, Alfonso of Ratisbonne. There is a nice modern confessional. They unfortunately removed both the old-style confessionals with which having the grating fixed it was easier to confess. We hope the restoration. There are masses often sung. The times of masses if I remember correctly are in the weekdays: 8.00 and 18.30 (winter). Holidays: 8.30 am - 10.30 am - 12.00 pm - 6.30 pm (7.00 pm in summer). The friars preach well but in general, especially one, they confess perhaps a little too quickly. Better make an appointment. Nearby there is a beautiful old chapel, restored, run by volunteers from the parish that makes adoration of the Blessed Sacrament every day except I believe Saturday and Sunday for a certain number of hours from morning to afternoon. Surely it is a beautiful parish and given the centrality of the picone district deserves to be taken into consideration.

It is certainly an important gathering center for the community. The church is very large and rich in minor altars in addition to the imposing central altar with a staircase. A large column organ and a large work on the background of the altar greatly embellish the structure also equipped with a room that can be used as a cinema or theater

Always deep and human, Father Michele and Ottavio make you feel welcomed, and always have human and consoling words to dedicate to those who suffer from the loss of a loved one .... dedicating important and consoling words to the deceased .... in this church and with Father Michele and Ottavio .... I feel close to the church made by men and women .... as Father Michele says to the saints on earth !! Thank you for being there

Church now too large for that area but attentive and understanding priests towards the Faithful. Parish staff of the same level: the lady employed in the parish office is available. Many initiatives both beneficial and playful.

Located a few steps from my vacation home in Bari, I went to visit it. Modern church dedicated to San Francesco di Paola. I had the opportunity to meet the parish priest, a very kind and very welcoming person, who gave me all the useful information and the times of the functions of these days. Attending Mass this evening, I confirm my positive impressions on the parish priest.
