La chiesa al suo interno custodisce le due venerate statue di Sant'Elia e di Maria Santissima della Montagna. Esternamente presenta una facciata a capanna senza finestre e senza ornamenti, ad eccezione di due fasce di mattoni ad andamento zigzagante, collocate sopra il portone d'ingresso rialzato di tre gradini rispetto all'esterno. La chiesa è coperta da un tetto a due falde, con manto di copertura in tegole portoghesi. Il campanile si trova sul lato sinistro, vicino ai locali accessori della chiesa. A base quadrata, mostra due aperture sovrapposte, arcuate a tutto sesto, e una copertura cuspidata. The church inside houses the two venerated statues of Sant'Elia and Maria Santissima della Montagna. Externally it has a gabled façade without windows and without ornaments, with the exception of two zigzag bands of bricks, placed above the raised entrance door three steps above the outside. The church is covered by a gabled roof, with a roof covering in Portuguese tiles. The bell tower is located on the left side, near the church ancillary rooms. With a square base, it shows two overlapping openings, arched in the round, and a cuspidate roof. Very pretty and characteristic

A	Arturo Campa on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Piccola chiesetta, con annesso convento, costruita nel 884 da un monaco, Elia lo Juniore, poi santificato e venerato sia dai cattolici che dagli ortodossi. La chiesetta è stata distrutta più volte, sia da terremoti che da bombardamenti, ma è sempre stata ricostruita. Si trova su un promontorio stupendo che prende il nome proprio dalla chiesetta. Peccato sia circondata da tralicci pieni di antenne radio, tv e cellulari. Il panorama che si può ammirare è stupendo, quasi unico, permettendo di vedere quasi tutta la costa tirrenica calabrese e anche buona parte di quella siciliana Small church, with adjoining convent, built in 884 by a monk, Elia lo Juniore, later sanctified and venerated by both Catholics and Orthodox. Too bad it is surrounded by pylons full of radio, TV and cellular antennas. The panorama that can be admired is wonderful, almost unique, allowing you to see almost the entire Calabrian Tyrrhenian coast and also a good part of the Sicilian one.
